ModMount

A versatile and expandable camera stand designed to adapt to a wide range of uses, from film and document scanning to macro photography.

The precision-machined aluminium base features a matte anodised finish that provides an excellent photography background. Rubber-dampened aluminium feet minimise vibration and provide stable support.

The included 40 cm rods use the 15 mm LWS standard found in professional camera rigs, allowing the use of a wide range of accessories from hundreds of manufacturers. The rods connect with M12 × 1.75 threads and are fully compatible with SmallRig extensions, making it easy to adjust the height to suit your needs.

1 × 30 × 30 cm (11.8 × 11.8 in) baseplate
2 × 40 cm (15.7 in) long, 15 mm diameter LWS rods
2 × M12 screws
2 × M12 nylon washers
2 × M12 rod end caps
1 × 8 mm hex key for attaching the rods to the baseplate
1 × 2.5 mm hex key for removing the feet, if required

Camera mounting accessories are not included, allowing you to choose components that best fit your requirements. Pairing a mounting plate with a ball head is recommended for most setups.

Assembly

Place the baseplate upside down on the edge of a table so that the rod holes extend past the edge. Slide a washer onto each M12 screw, then insert the screws through the rod holes. Hold each rod in place and loosely fasten the screws using the 8 mm hex key. To ensure the correct spacing, slide a clamp or other accessory onto the rods, then fully tighten both screws with the hex key.

Once the rods are secure and accessories are installed, screw the end caps onto the tops of the rods.
